I was working on my 66 f150 today (putting new coil in)...I was rushing and left in neutral on incline under my car port.... truck went backwards and door hit pole and bent backwards... now it runs when opening and closing.
I saw videos online how to bend back on a different type of hinge.
Any ideas how to bend this back to make it not run and further destroy my paint.
Unless the light is playing tricks in your picture it appears that your door is what is bent and not the hinge. Compare that door with the other side and see if they are the same. The weakest part of the door mounting is the inside of the door where that hinge bolts to.
I don’t believe the jamb is bent. I wouldn’t mess with those hinges.
I’d get a used set, they are plentiful.
if you want new, LMC sells them but I don’t know about the quality.
Disassemble and assess exactly what’s bent.

I think the door hinges are weak. I went through 3 cabs for my project and each one of them had damage were the doors were opened too far. You can remove your hinges and bend the stop back. I cut a piece of steel and welded the ears that stop the door together, much stronger. Make sure you drill a alignment hole between the door body and hinge.
