Wheels

Good day everyone I’m in a bit of a pickle when I acquired my 85 f250 it had aftermarket wheels and tires 33 12.5 16.5 well guess what no one makes that tire. Any idea if pull off wheels and tires from a 99 gmc 2500 would fit same lug pattern 8 6.5 Or is there any other options keep in mind it’s a hunting and farm truck so cheap

The GM wheels wont fit, the hub center hole is too small, same for dodge. 16.5 is available, just uncommon and expensive unless you run military surplus tires.

with the 16.5's you can run Military tires at the Cost of 700 bux each ..... OUCH

while the 8 6.5 pattern may be same the Hub hole center may be Different....
I had that issue with trying to put a wheel from an 83 F350 on to a 93 F250 the 83 Hub Hole size was too small to fit the 93 F250.... it would at least go on the front as a temp spare.

it's planned Obsolescence, the days of cheap tires are gone

I have the same issue getting 13" tires for my 86 Subaru GL-10.... none of the Alignment shops can even do an Alignment any more as their equipment will not fit 13" rims any longer.... I used to buy the tires new for 20 bux a pop now they are almost 80 bux

the 37 are reasonable price down here but they Price Gouge you for the 33.

EDIT: I see Amazon is pretty Crazy too on their 33 prices
I'm in South Texas .. we don't have any Military surplus in the area... up in Dallas or some of the other larger cities I could find em Cheap.

Here in central texas 37's are available for around 200-300 a tire with like new tread, about what your going to pay for anything name brand in a similar size.

If 37's aren't your thing last I checked bf goodrich still offer an all terrain in the 33 flavor for around $220 a tire. They last real long if you don't spin em.

I've ran 16.5's before and I prefer them to the 16's as the bead is a different style and a lot easier to change yourself vs the newer wheels. I'm also a fan of bias ply vs radial tires as the side wall on a radial sucks for puncture resistance. Sidewalls also aren't supposed to be patched, especially if it's near the seam of the sidewall and tread.

I have a set of two wagon wheel 16.5's for the back, I'd offer to buy yours if they matched and you were in Texas.
