I have a 91 f150 xlt lariat with 60K miles that i have had since around the beginning of the year. It has been running great but just this weekend I took it on a small trip and the alternator ended up giving out on the way back long story short i got it back to the home and after replacing the alternator and reconnecting the battery all lights (headlights taillights, and dome light) stay on and the alarm went off and now wont turn off i had to disconnect the battery to the truck also the lock buttons on my doors arent working(i can lock them manually). Although the alarm and locks didnt go bezerk till i opened the door. I was wondering if anyone else has had these problems and fixed them?
Im pretty sure it is I looked around yesterday and ended up disconnecting a wire from the alarm and now my passenger side lock works everything else is still bezirk but I’ll probably be taking out the alarm system this week when I get a chance and see if everything goes back to normal. I bought it with the alarm system already installed
