Empty Space Below Exhaust Button
I recently purchased a 2016 F-250 King Ranch, and couldn't be happier. I have only had it for a couple of weeks so I am still trying to figure out all the ins-and-outs of day to day operation. Down towards the gas pedal, I noticed there is a empty plastic space located just below where the Diesel Exhaust Brake button and cigar lighter are located. Is there an additional feature that would typically occupy this space? It is recessed, however it isn't usable for holding anything. Perhaps it is for access to a fuse panel or something. Can anyone shed some light?

That space was used on some regular cab pickups for the passenger airbag switch. If you pop it out, you will see a connector plugged into it. You can add the switch if you wanted.

Some people use it for their air bag switch. I used it to mount a recessed stop light camera switch to switch between the tailgate cam and the stop light cam.
