Charging issue
2005 new alternator good batteries ,start truck no battery light after one minute light comes on no charging . Checked all fuses .orange/ light blue has 12 volts lg/red 0.54 key on and running 1.6 volts need insight.TIA

Check the grey single stator wire plug (white wire) at the top of the alternator. Have one person watch the charging light while the other wiggles it. It is a common problem and the pigtail may need to be replaced.

That's because they keep putting the defective alternators back in the box. I guess they figure at some point maybe somebody will keep it.
