'04 steering shaft
I made the mistake of playing the telephone game with my local O'Reallys this morning and ended up with the steering shaft for the'07 and newer ex's.
Has anyone tried making this work? The correct one is 5 days out and I'm in need sooner.
Gave me dorman 425-366
Correct era 425-364

You can try, but generally there's a reason manufacturers go to the expense to produce an entirely different part. If the shaft for the newer model would work on yours, why would they bother to manufacture a separate part?

I agree. I kind of had my mind made up to return it already. Just trying to TOSB. The older one has a rubber damper but in and the newer one is straight up u-joints. I'm gonna lube it up as good as I can for now and see how it handled it.
