Radiator Support

this is what came with the kit
We’re at a standstill. Trying to mount the radiator support to the 61 unibody frame. Does anybody have pictures Or on your truck can you describe the order in which the components are used with the mounting kit?
here is the picture supplied. Any ideas as to where the frame is located within this assembly? And the 2 round washers above the square pad ???
thank you

I spoke to a tech over at Dennis Carpenter where I bought the kit. It seems the diagram is incorrect. The square rubber pad with the raised round center section sits on the frame rail with the flat side contacting the frame. The radiator support is placed on top, with the round section fitting into the round hole of the radiator support, then on top of the radiator support the large rubber cushion and the large round washer. this all bolts to the frame. What was throwing us off were the two smaller round washers. Apparently they are unnecessary.

Well it sounds like you have a pretty good handle on your mounting pads. Mine are similar one pad goes on bottom side of frame and one round pad goes on top of frame between frame top and core support then bolt with washer goes through core support and through all the pads and largest washer goes on bottom with nut and lock washer. The one thing that appears to be different is your bottom pad is shaped to fit snugly in frame hole. If this is correct I think I will buy a mounting kit like yours and combine it with my old mounting kit. Thank you looking at your questions about mounting pads has helped me thanks again Jerry

Radiator support mounts

According to the shop manual the unibody also uses these springs on them due to the body flexing.
