Radiator Support mounting question
What is the difference between 53-55 and 56 when mounting the radiator support to the frame? There are two different hardware kits. I bought the 53-55 for my 54 from Dennis Carpenter the other one is for a 56 then remembered my frame is a 56. Looks like it will work but I was thinking alignment of the tin work might be effected by the height if there is a difference?? The kit has 2ea, 7/16" center bolts with 2 pads and 2 ea rubber "bumpers" molded around a 3/8" threaded stud. Not sure if they bolt to the frame or the radiator support?? Any one done this recently? Number Dummy, my parts CD doesn't show much detail on these. In fact it doesn't show a 6 cyl application at all. Do your sources show the differences? As I bought my truck in pieces I didn't tear it down.
