I have a 2001 250 7.3... I have a small fiber glass boat that I pull sometimes and my truck doesn’t like it... I have an 8 inch lift on 37” tires with 3.73 ratio. I understand the tires and lift don’t help it, but the boat doesn’t weigh more than 1,500 lbs (?)... do I have some other issues with my truck??? I know I need to rehear it to accommodate the tires, but I’m taking the lift off going smaller and downsizing tires maybe to 33”.
Additionally when I’m just driving the truck the transmission temp get up to about •200 and when the engine temp gets half way in 90+ weather some starts squealing when I’m on the throttle, but goes away when I let up...
200* Trans temp is nothing to worry about, it can run that all day long. As for the squeal with throttle on and not with throttle off, I'd think boost leak first. If throttle could make a belt squeal I would like to understand why.
As has been inferred before me, just roll with that transmission temp (A/C running?) As for the squeal, it sure sounds like the serpentine belt from your description. Maybe we can recognize the sound if you posted a video with the sound.
Sounds like a couple of things. But fix the belt and idler pulleys if there bad. If your radiator is going south it would also make both temps possible go up, especially if you only have the stock cooler. It wouldn't be the first time I read this on here while towing.
Everyone does not need a 6.0 cooler. For those of us that tow more then your truck and trailer GVW combined-we appreciate the added Cooling
Unless you have been here with another user name....you haven't witnessed the unceasing call for every person that has the 4R100 to install a 6.0 trans cooler. "My trans temps are 190........put a 6.0 cooler in there." Or, "Nice truck, but one of the first upgrades should be a 6.0 cooler."

Lol, no not here on another user name, was not aware of the "everyone needs a 6.0 cooler" rage, they don't.
I can share this: After transmission and/or tuning upgrades, I've never needed a 6.0 transmission cooler. That's not to say it's not needed on the stock configuration when towing. Now... if you tow heavy in town (stop and go at low speeds), you need every bit of help you can get your hands on to keep things cool (like the transmission fluid heat exchange in the radiator).
Here's an EO4D (weaker than the 4R100) in front of a healthy load. Note the engine in the bed of the wrecked pickup - that's a 7.3L (and stand... with all the trimmings in boxes in the bed), to go along with the fully-populated engine compartment. There are also 6 spare tires under the truck at 75 pounds each. 13.1K, and he drove over some treacherous grades to reach his home 700 miles away. No 6.0 cooler, but good tuning.
