Did the dealer keep it over night and have the same problem? This is the only way they can diagnose the problem.I wouldn't take they cant fix it as a solution to the problem.
They have to have the problem at the time of service or they cant fix it. if you drive it in there and truck is doing fine than there is nothing to fix. They have to experience the issue.

Since this is a FD vehicle, maybe the dealer would be willing to loan one of their flight recorder devices to see if it'll log one of these events while you are responding. I think it also consumes a VCM 2 so that's an expensive tool to have out of their shop for a few days.
