Another DEF/DPF Regen Question
I have a 2017 with 13k miles. I never know when the truck is in regen. Is this some "Top Secret" info that Ford Corp. doesn't want the person who paid a metric F*@#ton of money to own their trucks to know about?
I have never seen any indication of a regen or any information on the % of contamination. Is there some "easter egg" you have to hack to find this out?
Just went on a 1700+ mile trip, topped the DEF fluid off before hand came back with the DEF a hair over half full. Seems like a lot to me. Does this seems normal or is it normal?
During this time my milage is gone from 17.2 mpg to 14 mpg running empty, no trailer, no cargo.

The tires are the same stockers that came with the truck so it's unlikely they contribute to the degradation in fuel milage since the high milage figure was achieved with them, and their weight and pressure is relatively consistent. But who knows, you might be right. YMMV

More resistance on MT if you were towing or loaded down DEF use will go up dramatically good thing it's cheap in the grand scheme of things.

Edge cts gives you tons of info live. I have my suctioned to my windshield. Youll know most everything you need,engine oil,coolant,egts,def level,soot level,if your in a regen,hp,boost,etc. many more too. Well worth it if you like knowing those things and its stand alone. Not on your phone. Stays in truck. Think it was like 350 or less. Clears codes as well.
