Im looking to buy a relatively cheapo windshield shade for my 250. I found one on Amazon that says its only for 15 and up F 150. I thought it was the same cab. The info there says it will not fit F-250. No clear answer from the Amazon crowd. Can anyone confirm for me that the windshield as well as cab are the same? I know it sounds ridiculous but who knows.
I cant say why, but I have seen that the custom fit shades have different part numbers for 150's vs Super Duty's. I just use the inexpensive universal type from Costco. They fold down enough to fit in the center console.
Yes I believe the F-150 and Super Duty share a similar cab, although some minor variances (shifter location, mirror styles). I got the Magnelex shade from Amazon (size XL according to their sizing chart for F-Series) and have been pleased with the product. The circular tension wires are a little bit too large for the windshield area by about a centimeter, but you can tuck this excess under the headliner. The corners and section between the two tension circles can be tucked however needed; either in the corners or under the rear view mirrors.
The first day I used it I could feel the cab was cooler. The bonus steering wheel cover is useless to me; the steering wheel is too thick for the cover and I have tinted front windows.
I went with the custom weathertech ones. https://www.weathertech.com/sunshade. Here in AZ it is hot. You can almost cook a burger in the cab if windows aren't covered.
I don't want to spend 10 minutes fiddling with shades. The factory tint, and some aftermarket tint on the front, plus a $9 collapsible windshield shade from Walmart does a decent job. Also consider the storage for all the shades you go with. I like the collapsible because it tucks beside the seat.

Is it just that photo or does the front shade not have the best fit?

I didn't have it tucked under the rear view mirror for the picture. It only takes a couple of mintues to install/remove all the shades. I usually just do front and sides and park facing south. As for storage I just throw them in the backseat. I rarely have passengers.
The dinky cloth shades don't do squat in AZ. I have a heatshield that is custom fit. Yeah it's bulky but worth it. For the side windows, skip the weathertechs. Go to Lowe's and buy a roll of that reflective bubble wrap insulation and cut to fit. Works great and is cheap.
FYI, factory tint is not tint. It is dyed glass. It does not have any thermal rejection or ansorbtion properties like actual window film. Dealer installed tint on the front side windows to match the rear is likely crap film with little thermal or uv rejection. Mine is at least. Never pay for the dealer added 'premium tint'. Save that money and go to a real tint store to get ceramic.
