Nope. I do too, but so far I haven't owned a pre-'92 SuperCab so I haven't had to think about it too much. However I have seen a thread or two about it, maybe on the '80 - '86 forum. I don't think there were ever any great solutions, but I could be wrong.
Ok, I'm going to take a stab here & say that the rear window opening of this gen truck is the same whether split or not, regular cab or super cab. So why not just call a auto glass shop & ask them to install a regular cab, non-split glass window in place of your split?
I'm reasonably sure a competent auto glass shop would know for sure.
My bad. I read this thing 3 times & I'm thinking the rear window, not sides...
You're not the only one.. I had two different responses typed..
1) WTF... you don't like the sliding rear window.. go buy a F'n chevy already!
2) WTH is BruteFord goin on about and WTF does the height of the side glass have to do with the rear window?
And then I clued in.. OHhh .. they're talking about the supercab side window. Yes.. you're the only one that doesn't like it. LOL. Actually I thought the same thing for a long time but I came to like it... it's one of the styling cues that differentiates the early trucks from the later.
Hey brute, I think I understand what your saying. So you think that I could just use a cut off wheel to get that center bar out and patch it up with fiberglass? How easy is it to remove that frame?
