So I am trying to remove my DP F5 tuner, when I unplug tuner(with key out of ignition) the truck will not start. Cranks but no start, wait to start light does not come on, everything else works as it should. I would like to install SCT X4 tuner but cant.... anyone else ever have this issue?
Define "unplug"? Did you take the circuit board out at the ECM or just the rectangular box off. You need to TOTALLY remove it or it defaults to an anti-theft mode.
Oh, so that box that sits above my ECM out also. I thought it was only the rectangular little box. So more complex than I thought. The clip that connects the "chip" is broken and sometimes it will come unplugged and truck wont start, makes me worries I will fry my PCM

What box that sits above the ECM are you talking about? An F5 should look something like what is below. I don't think there is a clip. Mine have been just mounted in. I would say that you might need to have enough slack so it pushes against the selection box. Yes, I had it come out a couple times when I was pulling on the cable either accidentally or doing something but that isn't an issue anymore since I put enough negative tension on the wire that it pushes against the box.
The black box above ECM, I bought this truck 3 months ago. Whoever owned it before me put ALOT of money into it, to the point where the old 7.3 is neck to neck with my buddy's 2016 mustang....I keep finding new stuff almost every week. I compared it to my father in laws 7.3 and it looks like a entirely different vehicle under the dash

The F5 is does not go anywhere near whatever that is......It is supposed to be connected to your PCM under the dash to the left, above your Ebrake. I would highly suggest you don't mess with that device, if you go get creative, You could turn your truck into a non-functioning brick. You need to do some more research. Be careful......
