So this has been so long overdue but I am finally replacing my superchips with the F6 Dp tuner. I just finished placing my order with Clay. I went with no start, stock, 80hp economy, and 140hp extreme. I figured thats a good starting point being the F6 I can always add. Now I can't wait for that little brown box with the yellow tape!!
I love the F6 for the same reason. Even though I've had live tuning, Jody is constantly updating his tunes. When new strategies come out, I can easily change my tunes and if they're not to my liking change them back or have him tweak them a bit.
Not trying to start an argument here, but just curious about how safe the 140hp tune is on PMRs?
I have both PMR's and have had the 140A tune since I first got my DP (3 years ago) and have not had a problem, it is not a daily driver tune and is only used when racing.......
If you're using the 140 for speed, go with the 120 race if you have a stock pump and fuel system, the 120 is just as fast on a stock setup, a little bit lower EGTs and less black smoke.
Also, if you live in an area with potholes and bumps all over the road, ask Jody to lower the pedal sensitivity on the 80e to something closer to a tow pedal sensitivity, otherwise you'll be revving ever bump you hit....you'll see!!
As for the concearn with pmr's that won't be much longer in another month or two my motor build will be done which has cryro treated rods. I don't plan on racing in 140 yet I got it just for the smoke. I also just wanted to have some time with the tunes so I can see what works for me so that when my build is done when I have to have custom tuning done I can tell Jody exactly what I want.
