Hi from SC

Well I finally did it. I’ve been driving a 2000 Chevy S10 for well since I got it new in 2000. I needed / wanted a bigger truck. I’ve also wanted a sort of project truck. I wanted something old and beat up that I could work on but still goes down the road. I eventually want to get an old truck by old I mean like 50’s / 60’s and do a complete frame off restoration. When I grew up I was always riding around in my grandfathers Ford trucks. My favorite truck of his was a 1995 F350 with the 7.3 power stroke. Man that truck was awesome! Anyway I stumbled upon a great deal on a 1994 F150 XLT Super Cab. Not exactly what I want but it reminds me of grandpas 95. It needs a lot of little things fixed and probably gonna need a new motor and rebuilt transmission soon. I’ve got a zillion questions I’ve done a lot of small mechanical repairs over the years on cars and trucks but I’m doing a lot of stuff to this truck I’ve never done before. Anyway my goal is to basically rebuild the drivetrain and suspension from the back to the front over the next 2-3 years. I’m hoping to keep it on the road most of the time. I don’t really care about the look I’m more interested in reliability. I don’t want to be afraid to get a scratch or dent on it from throwing stuff in the bed. This is not a show truck. I haul a lot of little stuff around all the time. I’m always going back and forth to the hardware store to get wood for projects ect or to the steel yard for my welding projects. I just try to stay busy. Anyway Hi!
