Saying hey from Victoria B.C. Canada. Became a Ford owner last fall when my wife and I decided that the old tent trailer we had been dragging through the bush behind the jeep was to much work and time for a camper or rv. Came across this 81 f250 with a late 70's camper that was in great shape that the original owners son was selling for only $800. Do the job to get us out on a few local trips a year.
Basically the truck was free.Truck hadn't seen the road in ten years and had sat on the sons property with him starting it up every once in awhile but it hadn't started in 5 years. I'm pretty mechanically inclined so we brought her home on a tow truck. Threw some fuel treatment in the tanks, cleaned up the plugs and pulled the carb for a quick spray cleaning. Slapped the carb back on and after some coaxing she fired up!!!
I found the site after some carb rebuilding issues that I'm hoping you guys can help with. I'll post up in the relevant board with my questions.
