introducing...

Hello everybody,

Just wanted to post and say hi to everyone. My name's Matt Deacon, and I just bought a 95 f150 yesterday. I don't really know the ins and outs of these trucks, but my dad's got one with 200k so I figure they alright.

I like to work on old VWs, but they're too finicky for daily driving. I got rid of a couple vws and got this truck to tow and serve as a back-up to the sole remaining vw in the flock, my "still in progress" 61 Karmann Ghia.

The truck I got has 69,000 miles and sports the 300ci straight 6 with a manual transmission. It's a XL, super no-frills truck, just like I like em.

Anyway, just wanted to say hi cause I'll probably be lurking and posting here alot. btw, anyone have some f150 links that the highly recommend?

Later,
matt

Welcome to FTE! Like the VW's, some of these Fords are a little finicky, but most are just reliable workhorses. Congrats on your purchase, the 300 is a good solid engine. If you want to look at some F150's, you can try going through the galleries here.
