Axle pivot bushing replacement
Hey everyone, I am going to be replacing my front axle pivot bushings (TTB) this weekend, they are toast...alot of movement, i suspect that they are a major reason for some of my steering and alignment problems (i.e. truck will pull hard one way sometimes or ride perfect others). Anyhow, any one have any tips on doing this? I have heard that it is kinda a bitch to do, i dont have the poly ones, i have a stock rubber set. Not sure what its going to be like, so, if ya got any tips or ideas, i would appreciate them. Thanks.

They are kind of a bitch,(mostly the work taking the axles themselves out) not sure what yr. or model you have, I burn the old rubber out with an oxy-acetylene then use an air chisel to press out the metal part (a press will work too) mines a 2WD 75 250 w/79 I-beams and brakes, with the oval self-centering bushings
