Door latch striker

Has anybody had any problems with their door latch striker on the rocker sill? Mine were starting to show some corrosion so I removed them to inspect and found this. Currently just coated everything with Fluid Film but I'm debating whether I want to wire wheel and do a spot repaint. Thoughts? FWIW I do yearly Fluild Film application to the entire underbody including fogging inside the rockers and doors...

Also, does anybody know what the torque spec for those mounting bolts are??

I hate to say this, but it looks just like the rocker on my '10 that rusted from the inside out. I ended up having to replace the outer and intermediate panels on the passenger side last year and the drivers side will be done later this year. You maybe able to clean it up and repaint for cosmetic purposes but if it is rusting from the inside, that will not take care of the issue. Good luck.

Naturally internal rust would be the biggest concern but i really don't think thats the case. First it gets yearly fluid film fogging inside which *should* be very effective. Second this is ONLY under the latch striker plate. As you can see, its clearly a paint failure on the passenger side which the driver side looks more like rust. Its hard to see in the pics, but there are actually some pin holes in the paint which is how I think it started. Also, the female threads as well as the bolts are completely corrosion free.
