Alright guys, once again I come to you to help a man and his truck out. I'm gonna make it short and try not to bore you guys.
Truck spews white smoke mid shift, feels like it's skipping every now and then while idling and driving.
Smoke doesn't smell sweet but I don't really have a good nose anyways. I checked the radiator and it's green. I checked my dipstick and my oil is just fine. I did have use 10w40 instead of 15w40 because nobody had it but I doubt that would cause the issue.
I'm hoping it's not a blown head gasket and I thought I'd go to the forums before I get a full diagnostic on it since the shops near me are kinda far away.
Thanks again guys
"mid shift" so when you let off the throttle? Bad fuel or failing IP
I did a little bit more research and I'm starting to agree with you thank the gods. I did fuel up at a different place so I might just have to floor tf out of it. Is changing the injectors hard? It doesn't seem too bad from the tutorials I been watching but I'm no mechanic.

Changing out injectors is not a hard job, just get a 1" wrench and turn them out. Be very careful not to ding up your valve cover.
I use a 1" deep socket and a long Breaker bar. Doesn`t come close to dinging the VC.
Go onto www.McMasterCarr.com and buy a bag of 50 of the Viton O Rings, size 111.
Ther are around $7 + - and shipping. Good to have them on hand. for those OH Shucks
moments when one starts to leak.
111 7/16 ID x 5/8 OD part # 9464K24
Be sure to dig out the old Copper washers under the Injectors, and replace with new one`s.
After a nap, and some reading, I think it might be because I mixed oil? I'm gonna replace the plugs when I have some money to do it because I'm in the middle of a move this weekend. Having an old truck is so frustrating but I'm not gonna give up on her.
From all the videos I've seen regarding blue smoke the blue smoke doesn't really look that blue. Sweet scent doesn't make sense because it just smells like unburnt diesel. And I wrong about this?
If it just started out of the blue, either the internal bit that changes advance is stuck, or you got bad fuel. Dump a quart of atf in each tank and move on.

Drive it like you stole it afterwards, if it clears up but then comes back after driving it easy it's probably injector/injection pump related. Assuming your motor has good enough compression, which if it runs fine it probably does.
