Thanks I found that thread during my searches but didn’t think it applied to 77 because the 76 diagram says the relay is under the hood center of the dash and 78 doesn’t have it where exactly is the relay it is not under my hood is it inside?

After looking more at the diagram I see that c-810 is your relay its tied into that with the r-Bk wire . I know Dlburch said to follow the yellow and red one but you could also try that red / bk one too . And its saying its in the middle of engine bay right behind the dash area. But take a look for that relay up under the dash on the lip next to where the wiper and headlight switch is at.

So for a '78 with factory air I need the motor with two wires, not the one with more. Is there any advantage to the flange mounted fan? I also see screw mounted with two screws. Are they interchangeable? I am hoping to have a new motor waiting when I tear the old one out rather than pulling it out and waiting a week for delivery. Factory air, '78 F100 with 300/C6. Any brand preference on the fans while I am asking?
