I'm not a guru, but this is like the stuff I study in school (industrial controls). So, here's your tax dollars at work!
I found this info in my Haynes manual for '75-'76 truck:
1. With a two speed switch: GR/BK to washer pump.
Two speed with intermittent: GR/BK to washer pump, W/BK-power to governor and switch. These are the only wires with a black tracer.
2. O, R/BK, Y/R go to the accessory safety relay. Y/R is the control wire from the mode switch (AC, heat, defrost). The O and R/BK are the switched circuit. O is hot, R/BK is the power feed to the blower switch.
3. One is the R/BK in #2, the other runs parallel to the blower resistor. Diagram shows them joining with an orange(?) wire-power to the blower switch.
4. The only plain Brown wires on this diagram are associated with the running/marker lights.
Make sure you have adequate light, and take a few breaks when you work on stuff like this. It helps keep the smoke in.
thanks, yeah i dont wnat these wires getitng toasted when i got the truck it had a hacked harness and it shorted and toasted thre wiring thats why im in this pickle now, thanks though.
