Was looking at 4 in turbo back exhaust's last week, diamond eye to be exact. Found one at a price that I thought was dang good on ebay, it is new. Ordered it, upend delivery I noticed it was in a plain unmarked box. I was a little skeptical but continued anyway, opened the box up and no packing list and no instructions what so ever. Made me more skeptical. So today I am putting it on and the brackets aren't really made right for the rubber grommet hangers. But they do work I guess. Then found out that you cant tighten the clamps tight enough to keep the pieces from turning, I broke one trying.
So i came back inside and looked at the order i made on ebay for it and i found out it is a no name kit. I am beyond disgusted, i dont even want it on my truck, now. I am going to have to take it to a shop and have them weld the joints. I'd like to send it back but cant really afford to wait a week on a new exhaust to get here.. plus it had free.shipping, dont know what it would cost to ship back a 50-60 lbs box that large back.
I wouldn't weld the joints incase you need to disassemble later. You should be able to get some 4" (or appropriate size) u bolt exhaust clamps that will not break. I am sure if you take your time you can make it work.....don't get frustrated.
Attach the link I'd like to see what you received.
Looks like a decently made SS exhaust kit. I find it hard to believe you snapped the u-bolts but I guess anything is possible.
What you can do is grab a sawzall or cutoff wheel and cut slots on opposite ends of the outer pipe. Once you slip the inner pipe in, the slots will allow you to tighten the clamp and pinch the pipe together.
Make sure you cinch it into place first, once aligned then tighten it down.
Recheck it after a few miles and adjust as needed.
Don't get frustrated. Go to Napa and get Stainless Band Clamps. These clamps use 3/8" bolts and when tightened it will not move. The clamp is installed with the pipe's joint seam in the middle so the clamp grabs both pipes. It won't deform the pipe either so it can come apart again.
They're only about $12 or so.

I will take a look at those also. Already called orielys, and located 2 four inch ubolt style clamps. I reckon they will carry these also?
When I put my new exhaust system in last fall @87crewdually had suggested to use that clamp.
Sure glad I did. That was the smoothest exhaust install I have ever done. The really nice thing
was how easy you could move a pipe after you had clamped it down so you could remove some noise.
The only place to use that U-bolt clamp is for hangers and noting else. It puts a crimp into the
pipe and if you have to move it then you really have to beat the pipe up.
Agree with the band clamp use. I have a few of those on my exhaust and a few u-bolt style, and wish I had gone band clamp from the get go.
I fight the exhaust every couple years to reinstall my CAT for smogs and told myself 5 times over "I need to get those band clamps!"......and of course I never do LOL
Good Luck
*****thanks for sparking the interest again 87crewdually!*****

Took your advice and made a couple cuts and everything snugged up nice and tight. I'm happy with it, now if I can just narrow down this small oil leak I'll be golden.
