Low-Mile 1976 Ford F-250 Looks Brand New
By Brett Foote

This ultra-clean 1976 Ford F-250 has caught our eye for a number of reasons.

Yup looks real nice. Hopefully owner has some documentation for the low mileage claim. See price at Hemmings is $24,900 obo. Wonder what it looked like before the body restoration. Wonder what hubs are under those front chrome caps. Such a nice job of the body and paint but exhaust is very amateur as well as the mounting of those front mud flaps.

If it had a black interior originally wouldn't the interior of cab metal have been black too? Not just the soft parts black? Or were they 2 tone?
I see they have a build sheet. How common is it to have/find one in these trucks?

Covering the hubs is the dumbest thing I've ever seen. the interior is correct though. missing the tailgate panel.

As sad as that engine bay looks I really doubt the mileage is correct. nice pickup but no show winner.

Covering the hubs isn't dumb if it's full time 4 wheel drive

Full time 203 T-case in that truck. You can see the "Locked" indicator light in one of the pictures.

No way is that just a 18,000 mile truck. The underhood is a real mess for that low of miles. Why would have to completely redue the interior.

1973/76: Upper body side mouldings with black vinyl inserts were only installed on Ranger XLT's.

Rangers had thin upper body side mouldings without vinyl inserts.

The black vinyl mouldings are reproduced, the thin mouldings are not.

As mentioned, the lower tailgate panel is missing. Ranger XLT's also had an upper tailgate panel, as did 1978/79 Lariats.

The radio isn't original, but oh well. The wiper switch **** looks to have something stuck to it. Half of the hood-to-cowl seal is missing and the fan shroud doesn't look right.
The rear sliding window and step bumper appear to have been lifted from a newer truck.

I can't believe they didn't detail the engine bay either, but it's still a nice truck.
