After spending an hour searching the forums for the answer, I'm going to ask the simplest newbie question possible.
2006 Ford F-250 with 6.0 Turbodiesel - was diagnosed with water pump issues, cylinder 5 misfire and fuel sender unit issues.
Question is - which cylinder is cylinder 5? Looking from the front of the hood to the rear of the truck, is it driver side or passenger side? First or last cylinder in line?
I'm probably going to tackle some of the work, but not all of the work. Help is appreciated. Fuel sender issues should be easier to fix, water pump should be okay...
thank you for the quick response. I'm wondering about sites like bulletproofdiesel dot com. I'm looking to make sure I'm not doing this more than once.
If you have not been welcomed in the past, well welcome
I'm having problems with #5 also. Wont buzz in the mornings and throwing P0275 DTC. I was originally thinking to replace it, but I'm going to try an oil additive first. If it doesn't, I'll get my money back and install a rebuilt one. Here's a thread I started after the P0275 showed up on my edge cts. It may help and explain a method to my madness.
There is also RX and Archoil. Its kind of like which oil to use, you will get all kind of answers. Some good, some bad. Do your research and decide. Just google hot shots vs rx vs archoil. One thing though, I'm going to change the treated oil around 3-5k because the additive is diluting the oil (especially hot shots (2 qts)).
