Back to my obsession when I get into throttle above 3000 rpm my IPR pressures hover around the 85% threshold. I did o rings on oil rails, cleaned up and serviced injectors stand pipes and dummy plugs. This weekend I am going to check the IPR valve and screen. The hpop was replaced with a reman 35,000 ago but I know how that can go so I am planning on that being the ultimate repair after I leak check.
Question is I see lot of different companies doing "updated" hpops. I've looked at Dieselsite and I'm pretty sure I don't want to pay for a billet hpop and beyond that have read some unhappy reviews. Was also looking at CNC fab. I'm lost after that. OEM?
Thanks,Tim

I have read all the reviews - I would bet the unhappy reviews you were looking at were on the upgraded power one (and the issue was performance for the money, not reliability) OR it was on the 7.3L. I have only seen one unhappy review on the upgraded "stock power" unit and that includes forums. I read all 9 pages on the DieselSite web site.
As soon as a recent post talked about ones from OReilly's a thread popped up about one only lasting a few weeks.
IMO there isn't one out there that has the reliability of the DieselSite pump. They advertise it as a billet pump, because the OEM case has some issues, but the improvements go beyond that.
Lots of recent discussions regarding whether or not it is worth it.
That certainly is an individual decision!
Oh - and Terminator use to upgrade the 03/04 HPOPs and then quite doing it for some reason. Terminator was big in the 7.3L HPOP upgrades. I have one (T500) in my 7.3L and like it. EDIT - Looks like Terminator is back in the 6.0L game.
Last time I checked was 2 weeks ago and they didn't have any. It had been a year or more and they hadn't had any.
Now (just checked) they have some ..... 6 left. All the reviews I have seen on them were good, but it hasn't been around as long as the dieselsite pumps.
At that price range, spending a little more for the Diesel Site pump IMO is a better choice due to the repeat availability. If there is an issue with the CNC pump, are they going to have more in stock?
When it comes to replacing a HPOP on a 2003-2004 truck, I don't recommend anything other than the Dieselsite Adrenaline. You can't beat the reliability and engineering they put into it. Bob, Sherry, and their daughter the HPOP Queen stand behind it too..
