Just got my scan gauge 2 hooked up and dont really like the velcro mounting options that came with it. Ran across this mount, wondering if anyone has one or how you all mount yours.
That is how I mounted mine although I made my own mount. That mount is nice but a little pricey. I do like having it mounted on the mirror out of the way yet easy to read.

Do you have a picture of how its mounted? Where did you get the extra long cord? I thought about just glueing it up there because I feel it is a bit pricey also.
Check Ram Mounts. They have one for a smart phone that works very well for holding the SGII.
I will see if I can find the photo of my setup. Right now it’s not in my truck.
I don't have any pictures of the mount and it will be a couple of weeks before my Son is back with the truck before I can take some. I used a piece of aluminum angle and a piece of aluminum that was about 2-1/2 inches by 2 inches and 3/4 inch thick and bored a hole in it the same diameter as the mirror stalk, then drilled and tapped 2 holes top to bottom on either side of the big hole, then sawed through the big hole horizontally, the 2 bolts through the bracket tighten the clamp around the mirror and hold the angle aluminum piece on. I made a custom cable for it but you can just use a cat 5 extension cable with the regular Scan Gauge cable. Hope this makes sense.
I just set it in so I could take these photos. The other mount is for my Garmin GPS.
I want to do a little updating to this and move things around to better fit my needs.
If they were not so expensive I might get one of the laptop mounts for long trips.
