Intake runner valve replacement

Hey guys, I have a 2005 f150 5.4. Is it possible to replace intake runner valve without removing intake? Thanks.

That would seem to be impossible . Besides you will then refresh your intake gaskets so its not a bad thing . Be very vigilant on routing of wires as it common to create a jam of intake r linkage . It is not intuitive make a drawing as you remove .Plus you have a chance to get all that gunk out of intake . Cleaning maf and throttle body . Use engine oil to seat injectors . Would also be good to clean injectors or replace .Be very careful with wires on cht as the moving around intake can damage wires when installing .,I think some one said use some wood to support while lining up .

On the 04 the passenger side vac port is used but not after that . The hole is not drilled out in intake ,that connection used to fall out and cause a lot of trouble to get it reconnected . The drivers side was a recall as it orig did not have clamps on it . There also has been linkage plastic problems on irmc .

Ok thank you very much. I was hoping that by removing fuel rail & wiring harness I could make it happen.

I think when you get in there you find

That the wires run on top of the linkage not underneath ,they are between the intake and the linkage .My friend did away with the small linkage vac port ,he moved it to the brake booster side like the later ones did and he plugged the small intake hole on passenger side . They put a metal wye on drivers side in 05.

Hey redfishtd, it is possible to remove with intake on, I just did it. I don't think it solved my low power problem but it is possible to replace runner valve with intake on. I removed throttle body & fuel rail, & had enough room to change it out.

I know this was a few years ago now, but has anybody else done it without removing the intake manifold and what were the difficulties? Pics would be awesome if you have them.
