Ok, I understand the crankcase vent into the intake leaves oily uck in the intake.
The question is: Is it cost effective to remove it?
Obviously there are a variety of ways to accomplish this, but even more important that the method ~to me~ is the bang-for-the-buck improvement in performance.
Would there be a noticible improvement assuming "normal" amounts of oily ucky in the intake?
oh, a 4.0 OHV with 115,000 miles (to my knowledge it has never been cleaned).
zzzzz snore zzzzzz snore yawwwn ..i had the same problem and asked my mechanic brother and he told me to spray carb cleaner inside the intake and it seemed to work but i took a clean rag and wiped the whole thing to be sure its gone. hope this helps
