Hello all, I have a 2001 f250 XLT 7.3 I have owned it from day one it has 320,000 miles on it I figured it's time to give my baby a face lift. I want to put bigger tires and wheels I'm thinking 33x12.50. I dont want a full lift kit I was told that a leveling kit would allow room for the tires not to rub. What do you all think? Also what would you recommend. Thanks
I recently went to 285 from the OE 265 and I have a teensy bit of rub in left full lock direction, stock suspension. It's a 33" tire but less rim width than you are considering. So yeah, a front levelling kit should help you out. Make it look better too. Tho I kinda like the empty bed rake.
I’ve run 285’s for years on these with no rub. Your front springs might be getting weak. The 33/12.50 may rub without a leveling kit just because of the width depending on offset. I’ve done add a leaf and the leveling kits that are small spring packs on some of the trucks I’ve had. I would recommend an adjustable track bar.
