The dealer will not be able to help if the service DPF now isn't on the screen. I am not sure a code was set If the screen is gone and truck runs fine than keep driving. I have seen the drive till clean before so I just drove it for a bit. If you are towing than that should be good enough. Just press ok and the screen should go away. If not than just leave it and take to a dealer. Remember if there isn't a problem at the time you bring it in than they can't fix it. I know that's a pain but if it isn't broke at the time of service they cant fix it. I have towed a lot also and some of this stuff bothered me at first. I got used to all this new stuff. If I don't get the wrench light than I just press ok and keep driving. I was driving one day and 50 miles came up for reduced power. Truck ran just fine and it went away. There is so much technology on trucks these days stuff just comes up.
This is the reason I don't have the %age screen activated. If you don't see a CEL than things are fine. I know guys like to see how full the filter is and I get it but then you have something to be concerned about when there isn't anything to worry about. I wish I could get the oil %age instead. I also tow a 13,000 lb trailer and my truck seems to do regular regen's.just fine I just let the truck do it's thing. I also have a 15
I just like being able to see when the truck is in REGEN because most the time I miss the CLEANING EXHAUST FILTER dash notification. I have been almost at work and home or wherever and kept driving because the iDash told me the truck was in regen. It also allows me to place the truck in park to shut off the regen.
About the soot load %, I just want to see how the % drops when she's in REGEN mode. I don't worry about it but I'm curious as heck to see what's it's doing. I still have to get it displayed my dash because for some reason the Banks has a problem with that PID. I know my DPF system is in good shape, no CEL, because mileage is good and I've never got the DRIVE TO CLEAN.
The iDash 1.8 displays the Oil life % as did the original iDash. I'm lazy so I bought a digital monitor to watch stuff. A lot of guys here use old phones or their own phones with the FORScan app or the Torque app. I like watching the fuel pressure coming into the HPFP from the DFCM. I watch EGT1 and EGT4 to see how hot she runs and see it when in REGEN. It also displays fuel level % as I still have just the stock 26 gallon tank. I also watch ECT.

what are your fuel injector trims (less than 10% is good, more than 15% indication of worn injectors)
during towing, what are the EGTs (if you don't reach between 950° and 1050, you will never passive regenerate)
so senerio example is if you have high injector trims (poor injector control) and low EGTs, you are basically rolling coal and clogging up your DPF.
operating at low fuel levels could also contribute to the problem since low fuel levels leads to air entrapment and fuel with entrapped air is compressible and interferes with injector timing
if you fuel injector trims are good and egts low, I would add a fuel catalyst like lucas DPF cleaner which will server to raise egts to help passive regens.
cetane additives to improve combustion would be good.
If you have the dpf% screen the when you have 80% or above you can park the truck and do a parked Regen I just don't recommend doing that often but it will do a better job of the Cleaning

I can't seem to catch the message either although I did catch it last time and set the trip meter to 0. I'm using PM-22a and always seem to make the 500 mile mark. I was at 80% and 480 miles this past weekend towing my trailer, when I next remembered and checked again I was 525 miles and back at 0 so the thing regened while I was towing.

That doesn’t work for everyone. If your truck doesn’t have the 4” display in the instrument cluster, then yes you have that option. For the higher end trucks, I’ve only ran across one individual that had the option to do a manual Regen, who also had the 4” display.

I sometimes miss both but not a lot, I mean the iDash and the dash warning. I've also caught both. I'm usually out close to 500 miles as well but sometimes in the 450ish and up range also.
I'm rarely towing at elevations lower than 5,000' and usually I'm above 6,000'. I'm using Better Diesel FBC and have no problem with regens. Most of my regens go to 0% if I don't cut it short. My average interval between regens has to be close to 500 miles. If I'm watching close enough, I do see some passive regens.

How do you view injector trims? I'm looking in Forscan now and I see fuel balance quantity, total fuel injection quantity, and service tool fuel multiplier.
Service Tool fuel multiplier is the only PID that is in %, but all my injectors show 100%? the other two PIDs are both in mgs with balance being + or - close to zero, and total fuel being a positive nonzero number of fuel injected. Am I missing something?
