Making great progress with my 64
After tons of help from all you guys, I'm almost there with my 64. Shes made tons of progress since I got her, and has almost all new parts on it now. Still need to replace the clutch assembly, but shes atleast driveable around the yard. And need to get my brakes dialed in too, they're basically non existent now ha. Other than that, nothing else should (hopefully) need to be replaced/repaired for a while.
I started it for the first time in 30 years about 2 weeks ago, dialed in the carb the following week, and as of this week was able to drive it around the yard under her own power for the first time. Gave her a half quick bath today, and I was surprised how decent it cleaned up.
just looking to learn how too's for adjusting.

I'll have to see if I can find the old thread, but I feel like I remember reading something recently where someone else was having 1st gear issues but I dont rememeber what their solution was. If I can find it, I'll post the link.
Here's a thread where Jo Wilker talks about actually shifting it differently.

Another good thing to do is without the truck running crawl underneath it and watch the linkage as someone else shifts through the gears. Often you can visually see where there are problems that you can't see if you are shifting it yourself.
As was mentioned in the other thread it might be time to go through it from stem to stern to make sure everything is in good order.
