Mechanical Clutch Linkage Photos Posted

A member here sent me a Private Message and asked if I could post photos of my '79 E-150 mechanical clutch linkage and pedals. I realize there is a lot more interest in hydraulic clutches because of their advantages and available parts.

If I could have put the truck on a lift I might have been able to photograph the entire linkage, but on the ground it's just not possible.

Clutch pedal is about 7" above carpet and 2" higher than brake.

Clutch rod pivots between steering column and accelorator

Rubber boot over clutch rod as it passes through floor just behind firewall.

Looking up at rear of linkage. Clutch release lever is at left.

Looking forward from just behind clutch release lever.

How cool is that! I would love to convert my 4R100 van to a manual ZF6 when it fails. Very clean install Mr. Clem's Cousin!!!

NumberDummy: Thank you for posting the diagram. We can clearly identify rod 7521 in the Clem's Cousin's photo above.

There are two different 7521 rods.

D5UZ-7521-A = The clutch pedal release rod from the 7A554 clutch pedal bellcrank to the 7A585 clutch idler lever.

D5UZ-7521-B = The clutch adjustment rod from the 7528 equalizer bar to the 7515 clutch fork.
