Started to put my new wheels on today and found that the new rear tires will rub on the inside. So...I need some spacers. I believe 3/4" spacers will work fine. I will also need to buy longer wheel studs.
Can anyone tell me what size wheel studs go in the rear of a 1969 Ford F100?
Thread size?
Shoulder?
Knurl size?
I wouldn't recommend using spacers, I've seen stud failure due to this.
I'd rather not, but the only way I see to use these new wheels and tires is to add a spacer. The tire is rubbing the inside of the fender well. It's less than 1/8" from the little lip at the bottom of the fender well, but the indention on the fender well that you can see from inside the bed is actually rubbing the tire. In fact, when coming down off the jack, the truck will not come all the way down due to how much the fender is on the tire.
The studs SHOULD BE 1/2" X 20 threads per inch. Lug nut torque is 70 - 115 LBS. I found the length, 1 13/16'. The part number MAY BE: C6AZ 1012-A
Thank you for finding this Sir. I appreciate the help.
I am also considering buying a couple of 3/4" adapters, that do not change the lug pattern. Basically spacers with their own lug bolts already installed. That way I wouldn't have to use longer studs.
