Coolant help

Did lots of searching before posting. I have a 13 5.0. So I had apparently a slow coolant leak based on what I have read in the past and how my fan was acting. Today went out (hadn't driven the truck in 3 days) and see drips and a soaked area underneath. Checked the two areas that seem to be the common areas of coolant leaks the L and T/Y tubing. Bone dry. Noticed it was in front and behind the engine. Took the skid plate off and started it up as it wasn't a solid drop at this point. After the system built up pressure it started coming out good. Hunting around it seems to be coming from near the bottom of the engine behind the lowest pulley (I think it's the crankshaft pulley could be wrong) as seen in the picture. Even double checked by looking up. While it was running to see if it was dripping down... Nice n dry. Noticed prior to this whenever the a/c heat is on the engine fan blows high. Wow is that loud that's how I discovered the low coolant earlier. Topped off every so often and was fine. Now it's coming out lots more. Can't pinpoint what the leak might actually be from. Thoughts?

My first guess is the water pump. Might have to put a pressure tester on it and remove the belt and pulley to see it better.

Isn't the water pump higher? And I'd see it leaking down wouldn't it?

Not much water/ antifreeze around the crank area... I would agree it is coming down from ABOVE... Look at the water pump and hoses above the crank.

After removing the intake tubing it seems to be pooling on top of the water pump assembly, then running down and then spraying back up like a fountain after a few min. Does take a min or two after starting to start leaking so only when under pressure it seems. Still can't tell exactly where it's coming out of. The tubing over the water pump seems to be dry. There is some play if I jiggle the water pump pulley. Slight back and forth click. I'm assuming there should be no play, and no sound. The underside of the throttle body appears to be wet to when I crawled under. If it's the water pump could it be spitting it up under it a little?

So was playing with the water pump. To double check how much play and after wiggling it it was just drooling coolant. Guess I'll be replacing the water pump.

Make sure you get the air out of the system before you start it. A vacuum filler works best but you can also remove a heater hose and fill unti coolant comes out.

Just fill the radiator from the big top hose? I have a vaccum pump I used for brake fluid in the past. Do I just connect that to the drain hole, open drain valve and suck fluid through system till it comes out drain and keep topping off as I go?

Well I filled the reservoir till it was in cold lines while letting it drains out the bottom of the radiator and a steady stream. Left cap off reservoir and let truck idle till operating temp per dash. Coolant didn't move and air only became warm as heat was on full blast. Thoughts?

Read somewhere about raising front end and reving a little. Seemed to help the temp gauge fluctuated a little and then was blasting hot hear out the vents. Set it down turned it off and came back later. Fluid level went down some topped it off and took it for a 5 Mile drive. To include stop and go traffic, no issues. Hot heat, temp gauge didn't didn't budge and no drops when I got home.

Now to figure out why the fan sounds like a 747 when the A/C is on.

The A/C turns the fan on high to get as much flow across the A/C condenser in front of the radiator to help with cooling.

Check the t-connector on the radiator hose. Pretty odd design that I never saw before. I carry a new radiator hose with that connector along with some proper Ford anti-freeze concentrate as the 2013 5.0 is mostly used for highway trips. I have the parts if I need them. Haven't yet, but in our hot climate, I top all three trucks off as needed in hot weather. No sign of leak on that connector - yet.
