The other day I had a local locksmith cut and program a new PATS key into my 2013 F-150. I only had one key and it has a keyless entry transmitter on it. I had them delete all the existing keys, reprogram the one, and program a new key.
The new key works fine but the old key will cause the door locks to cycle when I use it to switch the ignition on. That tells me it's putting the truck into some kind of programming mode.
How do I fix this? I have tried Googling it a dozen different ways and all I come up with are folks using Forscan (which doesn't work for this) and outdated Pats 1 procedures.
