Would be very helpful getting into cab if truck had grab handles driver and passenger side.
With 4" lift its a jump to get in.
Has anyone put some on and if so what did you rob them off of ?

I found one...about 10" long...black...padded grip on substantial steel...attached each end w/sheet metal screws to left of my head above window. I searched Amazon (I think...it's been 9 years ago)...found various handles from various companies...can't remember who I bought it from. Anyway, this item was about 20 bucks to my door...looks good installed...interferes slightly w/visor when you move it to side-shade your face. It is strong...has never come loose...and helps a whole lot getting in and out of my '97 F350 4X4.
I'm usually not one for things like cupholders and grab handles, but these trucks really could use them. I'm 6'2ish and have no problem getting in and out, but a lot of my passengers do. I wouldn't mind adding a handle or two if I can make it look stock.
I was thinking of something similar on my 97 F250. my wife is quite short, she doesnt like getting up into my big lifted truck. My 01 Expedition has handles mounted on the inside of the A pillar, i think i may try to mount something there and possibly trim the A pillar molding to fit around it.

I added a handle to the A pillar on my 01 F250. Had to trim the moulding, but it worked well. Passenger side had one, driver's side didn't, it was about $40.00 from Ford. The little plastic plugs that covered the mounting bolts were also $40.00, so I did not get them and you could not notice they were missing anyway.
I did take some off a ford sedan in the junk yard, the flip up kind.
Havent installed yet but envision welding a couple nuts to door pillar to make it work.
Hey sandy, those pretty much look like the handles I got.
Do you remember how you attached them.
I recall the ones I got had some kind of clip insert that was in a squared out hole in pillar.
The handle came from a fiesta or something like that. The bracket was under the headliner and it was right above the center of the door. Those were test screws in the pic. Four nice screws secured it where it's not going anywhere.
I found some side handles that go on the outside of the cab, i got them at a local junkyard off of a supercab of the same gen.
This is the only picture i have on my computer to show the handles, you can sort of see them right behind the side windows.
