That's the "High Pressure Cutout Switch". Never heard of one going bad. Doesn't mean it's not possible, but there are half a dozen more likely suspects.
So my A/C was out for a while too. I was starting troubleshooting the clutch and got to this plug. As I went to unplug it, the A/C clutch kicked in.
After some cleaning of both ends and a little manipulation of the male pins I popped the plug back together and no more a/c problems.

Brand new they look pretty cheap. But would want to confirm the Part Number.

My issue was the female plug. The contacts inside have spread over the years. I'd replace that before the fixed end.
But like I said, I was able to get the contacts to tighten and no more issues
To test if the switch is the issue, simply unplug it and insert a jumper into the pins of the plug to simulate the closed switch. If the clutch doesn't kick in with the jumper installed, move on. you can use the same procedure to check the low pressure switch on the accumulator.

My plug was causing my A/C to be occasionally inop. I found it just by dumb luck.
The problem was the contact tension wasn't allowing a good, dependable connection.
I popped the locking pin out of the connector, pushed out the pins, and used a fine needle-nose pliers to squeeze the contact an RCH, and replaced it on the switch.
It has played just fine for at least the last two years.
