Is there any special tool or way to remove the interior window trim at the top of the winshield between the two plastic "A" pillar pieces? It seems to be metal and maybe held on by clips or something. I'm nervous about breaking something taking it off.
Pry the trim piece using something thin but strong, like a butter knife. Start at either end and work towards the rear view mirror. Pull out and away but be mindful of where the metal clips are and apply the pressureat those points. There are 4 clips as shown in the picture.Just yanking it can bend as it is made of thin, painted metal. Putting it back should be easier. I think applying a little vaseline to the clips at re-installation should make it easier to remove at a later date. Also, be aware that the "A" pillar covers have a small retun tab at the topfor a screw into the "A" pillar.
