As the title states. Going to be working on a project soon and need to get the trim off. I'm sure there's a tool for it, I've seen them before. What's everyone using, where did you get it? Is it possible to get the trim off without mangling it or the clips that hold it on?
With the proper tool, you can remove the trim without damaging the clips. Mind you, the clips are probably rusted and some will need replacing.
There is several designs of tools, but it's basically a side hook. Any auto parts supplier will carry them.
That is the plan. There's two f150s and one Bronc in a junkyard near me. The Bronc has the black windshield trim I want, so I'll practice on the 150's first.
On a side note, the Bronc is a 93, blue, has a hot pink stripe down the side, body colored grille and headlight surrounds, and a molded running board/wheel flare/front fascia kit on it, along with the black window trim I'm after. Is this some sort of a special model, or just something someone customized?
