I have a 1990 ford superduty that had a newer(2 yr old rebuilt) that drove fine in the morning with no issues.
I went to drive it in the afternoon and the drive gear wasn't there(weak) but have all other gears. and the overdrive off light is stuck on.I checked every fuse and they are all good, fluid is full and clean with no burnt smell. Replaced the shift switch on t he side of the tranny as it was under warranty still. But still the same problems.
the only code I was getting was a 26 and 10 with the scanner.

I don't know what this means. Do you mean it is really slow from a standing start?

What do you mean by all other gears? 1? 2? 3? 4? Reverse? Does the transmission shift as you accelerate?

Usually, that means that the computer isn't getting powered. If that is the case the transmission will always be in fourth gear, and that's really slow from a standing start. The most frequent cause of this is a bad EEC-IV power relay.
When I try to take off in drive it is very sluggish and you have to review the motor way up in order for it to move. But in 2nd or 1st it reverse it moves with no problem. And I swapped out the overdrive switch on the dash to see if I could get the light to turn off but had no luck as it is stuck on still.
Your problem is that the computer isn't powering up. Usually that means the EEC power relay that supplies power to the computer has failed. I don't know it's exact location, it is somewhere under the hood.

There are two of these relays located next to the air cleaner on the driver side, they live under a plastic shroud and may be marked one as 'EEC RELAY' and the other 'FUEL PUMP RELAY. Should be same locations regardless of motor.
What's weird is this truck has only ever had one relay unlike my other trucks. This one has the brown relay(no green one). And I'm thinking that's the fuel one right?
I went ahead and swapped out the brown/black relay under the hood and got the overdrive light to shut off but it doesnt turn back on at all and the tranny still has no power in the drive gear.
The truck a 7.3 idi by the way
You need to see if there is +12 volts on the red wires at the PCM connector. I think those are pins 37 and 57, but it has been years decades since I used those pin numbers, so I could be wrong.
