Hood scoops?

Every truck I own does not have that flex tube, long since gone. One of my trucks has the duct, the other 2 do not. No doubt removed for access and long since forgotten.
My post was for general engine cooling and what works for me.
BTW, that tube going down to the exhaust manifold and the flex tube for air cleaner, any good deals on them and where?

I have a 1982 Mustang GT scoop, but I don't want to put it on my truck. But those Fox Mustang scoops, and some Maverick scoops look kind of like the 429 scoops. Probably too low to be really effective though.
