Jacking

I want to rotate the rear tires to the front and the front tires to rear.
Has anyone ever jacked an Aerostar from the side to be able to do this?
If so, where did you put the jack?

Whatever you do, do not put the jack under the rocker panel; it will collapse. There are these cross-structures inside the rocker panels that are meant for jacking. If you still have the original jack, there might be a picture of the areas where you're supposed to place the jack. However, that may not jack up the entire side of the van as you want for tire rotation. Maybe if you deployed two jacks, one in front and one in back.

I only have one jack.
I'm thinking about trying the area where the transmission support cross member attaches to the unibody.

there are front and rear jacking points on each side and I use two jacks to rotate tires.

the factory jack is used to raise the rear and a hydraulic jack to raise the front, but both under their jacking points.

the jacking points are located behind the rocker panel sheet metal. They are flat and reinforced to handle the weight.

Well here's what I did. A friend loaned me some heavy duty jack stands and I jacked up the rear and put them under the rear axle. Then I used the jack in the front. I think it was safer that way. The van was very stable.
