Had the Dealer change the fuel filters at today for my 2019. OMG. I wish I had time before we hit the road for two weeks and I would have done it myself. $325.00, which included $112.00 for parts. I know, I know. Watched a your tube video and will do it myself next time and buy genuine parts for $55.00. Everyone has got to make money, just not my money. I get it, but really. Oil change/rotation was $200.00. just need to start doing it myself. Not like I cant fit under the truck. I figured I could have saved $400.00 today. I could do a lot with $400.00. Lesson learned.
My first oil change I did myself and it cost me ~$80 for motocraft oil filter and Rotella T6 from wally world. The tire rotation was a surprisingly simple affair as well. My only expense there was a torque wrench that goes to 165ft/lbs. Knowing I saved $120 makes me feel pretty good. At $400 I looks like I will be doing my own fuel filters as well.

Amen to that! I was able to get tires rotated, oil change, fluids topped off, and visual inspection for $120 here at local shop....but I believe I will be doing this myself going forward just for the peace of mind knowing it is done correctly. The local Ford place was great and super nice about doing the oil change - I just want to become more familiar with my truck and I also believe no matter how much a shop/dealership cares about your truck, it is still a fraction of the care/love of true ownership .
I changed mine at 20K and then 50K. Second tank filter looked cleaner than the first. I do like changing my own fuel filters so I can see what is in bottom of pan and actually clean it up.
I have changed mine at 20,000 miles and am almost due for another. It can't hurt changing them earlier though. I placed a large order for air, oil, and fuel filters at Diesel Filters Online and got free shipping. I'll be set for a while.
I changed both filters (under hood and under driver) at 21k. Very easy after watching a couple of You-Tube videos. Got the two filter Motorcraft kit from Amazon.
I let the dealer's quick lane do the oil changes (when the "Change Oil Soon" light comes on) at around 7k miles.
The cost and time of doing the filter change myself was why I didn't have Ford do the filters.
The old filters didn't look any different than the new ones - they were very clean. I don't really believe I'd be gaining any better engine protection or longevity by changing them out sooner.

Cannot put a price tag on the money saved; tons of tools and toys to show for it tho...
Well darn tried to change my filters this morning for the second time, but this time the fuel wouldn't stop draining, I guess I need to see if I can find the fuel line to the tank and disconnect it. Ill let it sit and try again tomorrow. First time I did it, it worked fine.
Here was mine, not the filter, but what didn't make it through it - first changed at about 16k miles. After seeing that, I'll be changing it at next oil change. If it's like that again, I'll be changing it every time. It's easy and not to expensive in the scheme of things. Hardest part for me is going out of my way to where we can dispose of the used diesel.
If it isn't like that next time, I'll switch to every other oil change per the manual.
