On my last 2 I religiously changed the fuel filters @ 20K, I thought I read that the new ones are at 30K .. Just wondering where you guys have been changing them
On my Cummins, I changed the fuel filter and oil at 10K (deleted and using synthetic Rotella). That also made it easy to keep up with. I don't expect the Powerstroke to go that long with emissions systems intact.
The maintenance schedule says every 30k. I gotta ask why are some of you changing them ever 10k or 15k?
15K is the severe duty schedule. That's what I'm going off of for my truck. The IOLM isn't far behind or it's ahead of that. Last oil change reminder came up in less than 5K miles. It wasn't 12 months yet either.

For me with the crap fuel at some places, its just cheap insurance. I drain my rear filter every 1500 to check for water. and at $50 for the OEM Motorcraft front/rear fuel filter kit, that's not an expensive item every 10K.

I was wondering the same thing.. Basically was asking if I should sweat wasting 1/3 of the filters life but it seems like some are not caring about wasting 1/2 or 2/3...
Cheap insurance! Oil at 5k, fuel filters at 10k. You never know if there's junk floating around in there. Better to be safe than sorry. As much as it cost for repairs, it's a small price to pay for piece of mind.
Had the Dealer change the fuel filters at today for my 2019. OMG. I wish I had time before we hit the road for two weeks and I would have done it myself. $325.00, which included $112.00 for parts. I know, I know. Watched a your tube video and will do it myself next time and buy genuine parts for $55.00. Everyone has got to make money, just not my money. I get it, but really. Oil change/rotation was $200.00. just need to start doing it myself. Not like I cant fit under the truck. I figured I could have saved $400.00 today. I could do a lot with $400.00. Lesson learned.
