Looks like 4Play wheels sponsors the 2017+ SD forum. That probably comes with a few posts for advertising. Tough crowd here but, hey - they say any publicity is good publicity right? Gotta know your audience though - lots of owners here run factory wheels for a reason...and they’re definitely not “bad.” I keep factory’s on my ride. They should have worded the post differently.
Git rid of quality wheels and put on WAY OVERPRICED CHINESE JUNK is not a "fix". Like said, this is for children that have issues and MUST spend money to make there on road only trucks look cool.
And got to agree, that thing is ugly. Looks like someone just bought a bunch of bolt on aftermarket STUFF and bolted it on, only missing a plastic supercharger sticking out of the hood
I have both F350 Platinum and Limited wheels. I’m not a big fan of either but since I’ve gone that after market wheel route on my previous two trucks, I don’t care enough to do it again. Why would I want to cover up my manual locking hubs in the front? If I ever need them, I don’t want to be pissing around with a small torque driver to get the centre cap off. Both sets of after market wheels degraded so bad that they had to be replaced at around the 300,000km mark. 1 Tim failed so bad that it caused a massive blowout where I had to get a tow truck to come change my rim cause I had a broken ankle at the time and it was -25C. The guy at the tire shop was amazed I even got that many KMs out of them. I was shocked at how he said that after market wheels don’t last as long as the factory ones if you actually work your truck. Then he sold me a new set of wheels. Lol.
My point, I spent more money on the options and interior on my new truck because I’d rather be comfortable while driving than to have people point out what a pretty truck I have. Low trim truck with a bunch of extra outside accessories or a loaded truck without all that stuff. Works out to be about the same price in the end.
