show where you put it, when you get there, I put LED reverse lights in mine, and when dark they will turn out the solar lights in driveway, I thought about adding a small LED, but for now I'm good with what I got
I solder/shrink wrap electrical connections. You can get shrink wrap with glue inside (marine grade IIRC) and that stuff is great. Doesn't slide off and doesn't let water in.
Does the automatic transmission have a reverse switch like the standard trans or is it controlled by the range selector on the side of the transmission where the shift cable attaches? Looking for the closest wire to the front of the cab to tap into for the reverse light on signal.
posted by rla2005 (thank him) Purple/Orange is the Backup Lamp circuit supply feed that leads to one side of the backup up lamp switch. The Black/Pink wire then goes to the backup lamps. Which in turn have the other side of the filament tied to ground.
I have the 4R70W and the wire at my reverse lights is black with pink indicator. So it should be the black and pink wire at the range selector on my transmission? If I read that correctly.
Finally got it done today because work was so slow. Anyway I ran the wires down the passenger side and hooked into some power blocks I have that way it leaves my battery terminals clean. Have switch run through the harness grommet through the blower motor box at the firewall and then spliced a wire from my reverse wire about 10in back from my range selector and spliced that into the wiring for the switch. So now my back up lights or the switch turn on the stock lights and the led. Thanks for the help guys.

I have a 96 Bronco with manual transmission and my Reverse lights will not work and all feeds and grounds are good so I'm going to install LEDs for backup lamps. How are you liking your setup so far? Any problems? Suggestions? Thanks!
