the custom tunes you get from actual tuners tend to be "locked" with few options in them... the one from TSD i bought was the same way... the only thing they left open to change was tire sizes and gear rations.. everything else was locked out... its the way they write the tunes so that you cant change things after theyve custom written you a tune for your setup... that way if you want to have something changed you gotta come back and pay them to re-write you a new one..

what theyre showing in the video there were the factory loaded tunes from SCT (ie "canned" tunes written for generalized population not a custom tune)

I throw my experience with tunes from a CA truck perspective. I bought a SCT X4 about 6 months ago. While you can get the computer not to throw a soft code (i.e. not turn on the MIL), it will no set the readiness monitor. So it always shows that the EGR self test is not ready. So if you need to smog you cannot get the truck to pass if the test includes an OBDII test.
