This is 30% front & factory rear. I would like to go darker all the way around but I move to a different state every few years and I never know how much I’ll get harassed about tint, so I played it safe. The 20% looked too dark on the sample, and they didn’t have 25% where I went, so I settled with 30.
Color tone is different from the inside because of the ceramic up front.

Thank you for posting those. Maybe the shade that was too dark was 15? Heres the list of CTX ceramic shades from Llumar...

The shop I went to had a little display I used to compare with the back windows. When I held it next to the rear window 20% looked too dark, so I went 30. But it may have been an optical illusion or the fact the display was ceramic tint on a piece of plexiglass. If they had offered 25 at the shop I probably would have went with that.

The reason I asked if it was actually 15 is because Llumar doesn't list a 20 in the ceramic, goes from 15 to 25.
Xpel Prime XR, 20% in the front and factory in the back windows. I'm going to see how much just the front windows help with heat. If it's not helping enough I'll probably get 50% done in the back windows.

So I looked at my Receipt & I have Llumar CTX 30%. I looked at the website for the shop I got it done at & they offer the CTX in 5, 15, 30, 35, 40 & 50. So it must have been the 15% that looked a little too dark.
Idk why? But the tint on the front looks lighter in the picks than in person. I can tell the difference between front and rear in person, but the front looks a lot lighter in the pic. I even took another just now & it still looks significantly lighter. If they offered 25 at the shop I went to I would have probably gotten that.

That makes sense, 15 should look darker than the rears. 30 looks good on your truck and in my case would probably keep the cops off my back. Im waiting to hear back from the shop to see what shades they have, he said he has 4 shades in that film. I also want to go look in person before deciding. I found another place that uses SolarGard and is cheaper, including a ceramic option. In my searches it seems like Llumar might still be considered a better brand.
I went with solar 5% on the rears and 30% ceramic on the front sides. I would like to go darker but Texas law is 25 % on the sides. Here’s the catch....if you put 25 on then it’s too dark. 30 put me right at the limit. I do get jealous when I see the dark ones rolling but don’t want to remove it for inspection.
Rear Window / Rear Doors - 5% (Limo Black)
Front Side Windows - 35% (43% is Legal in Utah)
Entire Front Windshield - 50% (Ceramic Tint) (70% is Legal in Utah)
Living in Commie CA here...I went with the max allowed by law, which isn't much on the front 2 (30%?) and 50% on the back...or however the math works.
I don't mind the fronts, it takes the edge off...but I want the rear 3 darker.
CA. doesn't allow any tint on the fronts, you wouldn't know it by how many people actually do have tint on the fronts. They allow film if, "The material has a minimum visible light transmittance of 88 percent (which for reference is the visible light transmittance of standard car windows)." or some sort of medical exemption. Ive had 20% on my old truck for 15 years and have had 2 tickets in that time. One local pd and one highway patrol.
